Description

Fire retardant sealants are a specifically designed to withstand and protect in case of a fire. There are few products you can use specific to different applications. The fire retardant expanding foams are designed in such a way that if a fire breaks down, they will start to self-expand and make sure the oxygen is not coming into the room which will help in containing the fire. The Sealants works in a similar way but instead of expanding as much as foam, they are designed to withhold the high temperatures and capable of bearing heat from the fire without losing the adhesion.

Soudafoam FR Gun is a one-component, self-expanding, ready to use polyurethane foam, which contains HCFC- and CFC-free propellants which are not harmful for the ozonelayer. The canister can be screwed on the standard foam applicator gun. Soudafoam FR Gun is a PU-foam with fire retardant characteristics according to the European standard EN 1366-4. Because of the Duravalve, the optimal yield remains over the entire shelf life, even when stored or transported lying down.

The Soudal Soudafoam FR Gun offers high bonding properties, high insulation value, thermal and acoustic, high filling capacity, excellent adhesion on all surfaces like concrete, brick, timber, ceramics, PVC, tiles, glass, aluminium, stainless steel, zinc, galvanised surfaces, MDF, fiberglass, plastics (except Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polytetrafluoroethylene) etc.

Fire retardant foam is usually highly effective in installation of fireproof doors and windows, sealing of fire-retardant joints in walls and ceiling, sealing of all openings in roof constructions, applying an acoustic baffle, all foam applications in static joints.

The Soudaseal FR is a high-quality, fire-resistant, smoke-tight, neutral, elastic, one component joint and adhesive sealant based on SMX polymer (Hybrid). It offers high level of fire retardation, permanent elasticity after curing (without fire load), outstanding bond strength on nearly all surfaces even on slightly wet surfaces, very good mechanical characteristics, easy to use and apply in difficult circumstances, colourfast and UV resistance, paintable, no bubble formation within sealant in high temperature and humidity applications and does not contain isocyanates, solvents or halogens.

Its ideal for sealing of fire-retardant joints in prefab buildings and skyscrapers, flexible connections in automotive applications, fire retardant expansion and connection joints in the construction industry.

Its used frequently by plumbers, roofers, builders, window frame makers, etc. It comes in a screw top canister for the gun and with the manual straw.

We have got the Firecryl Fire Retardant sealant which comes in a 310ml standard cartridge to fit a standard caulking gun. Available individually or in a box of 15. Same firecryl also comes in a 600ml sausage which is available individually or in a box of 12.

We also stock the high temperature silicone and sealants. Silirub HT-A Acetic Cure Black comes in a standard 310ml cartridge or in a box of 15. They are designed to withstand temperatures up to 285oC.

Firecement HT – Black also comes in a cartridge or box of 15. This one is designed to withstand a scorching temperature of up to 1500oC. The firecement is rather hard and offers very minimal flexibility.
