ETA Approved Concrete Fasteners
The National Construction Code of Australia, the NCC, has made significant changes regarding concrete fasteners in safety critical applications. Due to incidents overseas regarding incorrect selection of concrete fasteners, Builders and Engineers are now subject to regulation for concrete fasteners in safety critical applications. In 2015, the technical standard was introduced and Pursuant to SA TS 101:2015, concrete fasteners including chemical fasteners, expansion fasteners and concrete screws must meet the NCC. Proceeeding the SA TS 101, In May 2018, the technical standard was upgarded to the Australian Standard AS5216:2018. Therefore is it now regulation that all safety critical applications of concrete fasteners must meet AS5216:2018 to conform to the NCC.
